Richard Weldon – P.Eng, LEED AP

  • Graduated in 1987 from the University of Toronto with a B.A.Sc in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Designated by the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario
    as a Professional Engineer in 1989.
  • Designated as a Consulting Engineer in 1995.
  • West Central Region Councilor, Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • An employee of Carson, Dunlop & Associates Ltd. from 1987 to 1997. Duties included inspecting over 4,000 residential and commercial buildings of various descriptions and reporting on conditions of major components such as structure, building envelope and mechanical systems.
  • An employee of Carson, Dunlop, Rohmann & Associates Ltd. in 1991. Duties include detailed progress inspections of roofing membrane installations, consulting with architects on roofing details and procedures and specification writing for roofing applications.
  • Formed Carson, Dunlop, Weldon & Associates Ltd. with Alan Carson and Robert Dunlop in 1997.
  • Served as an expert witness to the Ontario Courts-General Division.
  • Revised and updated the Rehabilitation Skills Course for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.

Jason Edelstein – P.Eng., M.A.Sc., LEED AP

  • Graduated in 2005 from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Building Engineering.
  • Graduated in 2007 from Concordia University with a Master of Applied Science in Building Engineering (Building Envelope Design).
  • Designated by the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario as a Professional Engineer in 2010.
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP) since 2009.
  • Certificate of Excellence Award in 2005 from Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec.
  • An employee of Trus Joist – A Weyerhaeuser Business, in Montreal, in 2004. Architectural Design Technician duties included: Structural analysis and product design using proprietary engineering software, product plan layout and detailing, creating material lists and producing production packages, project management and communication with customers, architects, engineers and inside sales representatives.
  • An employee of Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. from 2007 to present. Primary duties include inspecting residential and commercial buildings of various descriptions and reporting on conditions of major components such as structure, building envelope, asphalt, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Developed a methodology to analyze and report on energy consumption of buildings at Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. Associated duties include reporting on cost effective energy saving retrofits and calculating the return on the energy saving investment.
  • Member of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers

Ivo Markiel – H.B.A., M.B.Sc.

  • Graduated in 2008 from University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts,
    specializing in art and architecture history.
  • Graduated in 2012 from Ryerson University with a Master of Building Science.
    Elective courses included building envelope condition assessment,
    lighting design and building energy simulation.
  • Completed the Commercial Building Inspection Course
    by Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. in 2012.
  • Secured a position as a Restoration Technician in 2006 with Fine Restoration
    and Painting, a company which is focused on the restoration of masonry
    and carpentry of heritage buildings in downtown Toronto. Primary duties
    included restoration of exterior woodwork of residential and institutional buildings.
  • Worked independently as a Restoration Contractor in 2010 on residences located
    in Toronto’s Cabbagetown district. Foremost responsibilities included restoration
    of exterior carpentry, as well as cost estimation and project management.
  • Joined Engineering Link Inc. in 2011 as a Junior Designer. Working under
    the company’s Building Envelope Division, the position included project
    management and contract administration, preparation of bid and contract
    documents, building envelope physical condition assessments,
    and designing repair details for commercial and institutional building
    restoration projects.
  • Joined Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. in 2012 as a Building Consultant.
    Primary responsibilities comprise physical condition assessments for commercial,
    industrial and residential properties and preparation of inspection reports describing
    conditions of major building components, including structure, building envelope,
    plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, as well as hard and soft landscaping.

John Lyons – EIT, BScE

  • Graduated in 2010 from Queen’s University with a BScE in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Enrolled in the Engineering Intern Training program with Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • Joined Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. in 2010 as a Building Consultant. Primary duties include inspecting residential and commercial buildings of various descriptions and reporting on conditions of major components such as structure, building envelope, asphalt, electrical and mechanical systems. Performing energy audits of commercial properties.

Denver Jermyn – P.Eng., M.A.Sc.

  • Graduated in 2008 from University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Engineering, Biological.
  • Graduated in 2014 from Ryerson University with a Master of Applied Science in Building Science. Elective courses included building science theory, building envelope condition assessment, and lighting design.
  • Enrolled in the Engineering Intern (EIT) program with Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • Completed the Commercial Building Inspection Course by Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. in 2014.
  • Joined Principle Water Resources Inc. in 2010 as an Assistant Project Manager. The position included project management and contract administration, preparation of bid and contract documents, mechanical design and specification for rainwater harvesting and irrigation systems, and condition assessments of institutional, commercial, and industrial irrigation and rainwater harvesting systems.
  • Joined Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. in 2014 as a Building Consultant. Primary responsibilities comprise physical condition assessments for commercial, industrial and residential properties and preparation of inspection reports describing conditions of major building components, including structure, building envelope, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, as well as hard and soft landscaping.

Daniel Frade, EIT, B.E.Sc

  • Graduated in 2015 from The University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree, specializing in structural engineering.
  • Enrolled in the Engineering Intern Training (EIT) Program with Professional Engineers of Ontario.
  • Joined Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. in 2015 as a Building Consultant. Primary responsibilities comprise physical condition assessments for commercial, industrial and residential properties and preparation of inspection reports describing conditions of major building components, including structure, building envelope, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.

Wendy Anielski

Wendy joined Carson Dunlop Weldon and Associates in 2004. Along with her background
in International Business Administration, Wendy possesses several years of experience
in corporate management.

Prior to joining CDW Engineering, Wendy worked with the City of Toronto where her work included coordinating
a diverse group of projects including, but not limited to, management and planning of annual
fund-raising events, bookkeeper for various Toronto historical sites and Executive Assistant
to the Curator.

As Office Manager with CDW Engineering, Wendy supervises all administrative functions within the office.
