About
Building Information Modeling (BIM)
A building information
model is a virtual representation of a building’s
spatial, technical and location attributes. As such, BIM is capable
of hosting and cross-referencing all types of information about the building.
The visual represenation of this information and how these aspects are
connected, provides a holistic approach to maintaining building performance,
and maximing
efficiency, thus benefitting owners.

- Energy audits and simulations
- System As Built diagrams and drawings
- Major Equipment Payback Projections
- Energy monitoring by end-use
- Renewable energy sources potential
- GHG assessments and forecasts
- LEED EB certification and recertification
- Bill of Materials (BOM): List of all raw materials, parts, intermediates,
sub-assemblies, etc., with their quantities and description, required to
construct, overhaul, or repair a building or parts of it
- O& M Schedule preparation
- Equipment & Space usage planning
- 20 Year projected life and replacement costs
Commercial
Building Applications for BIM include:
- Municipal, Academic, Social Services & Healthcare (MASH)
- LEED Certification
- Carbon Management
- Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM)
CDW Engineering-Energy Solutions Group, is providing the BIM services in
partnership with PLANiT Measuring.
This partnership enables us to bring the BIM and energy modeling to
the built environment, offering a complete array of services to respond to
the increasing
demand for sustainable building management, focusing on economy of
resources.
