A building information model is a virtual representation of a building’s spatial, technical and location attributes. As such, BIM is capable of hosting and cross-referencing all types of information about the building. The visual represenation of this information and how these aspects are connected, provides a holistic approach to maintaining building performance, and maximing efficiency, thus benefitting owners.
